Treatment of peripheral artery circulation disorders (intermittent claudication) and organic brain function disorders (tinnitus, headaches, etc.)
This medication is primarily used to treat symptoms of intermittent claudication due to peripheral artery circulation disorders. It is also effective in improving dizziness and vascular or degenerative tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Additionally, it is utilized for organic brain function disorders, including dementia-like symptoms such as tinnitus, headaches, memory decline, concentration difficulties, feelings of depression, and dizziness. It helps alleviate these various symptoms and enhance the quality of life for patients. Overall, it contributes to the improvement of blood circulation and brain function.
Peripheral artery circulation disorders, dizziness, tinnitus: Ginkgo leaf extract, 40 mg orally three times a day or 80 mg orally twice a day. Organic brain function disorders: Ginkgo leaf extract, 40-80 mg orally three times a day or 120 mg orally twice a day. Adjust dosage appropriately based on age and symptoms.
This medication should not be taken by individuals with specific allergic reactions. Children under 12 years should not use this medication due to insufficient experience. Pregnant women should carefully consider using this medication before taking it. This medication contains lactose, so individuals with genetic disorders affecting lactose metabolism should not take it. If you have bleeding disorders or are taking medications that increase bleeding risk, consult a healthcare professional before using this medication. Breastfeeding women should also consult with experts as it is unknown whether this medication passes into breast milk. If you have upcoming surgery, discontinue this medication and discuss it with your healthcare provider. If symptoms do not improve or worsen after 3 months of use, consult a professional immediately. Light gastrointestinal discomfort, headaches, and allergic skin reactions may rarely occur, so caution is advised. Dizziness or itching may occur, and severe allergic reactions including anaphylaxis have been reported. This medication is not an antihypertensive, so hypertensive patients should avoid use unless special treatment is necessary. Store in a secure location out of reach of children, and keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
