Treatment of Parkinson's disease inadequately controlled with levodopa-containing preparations
This medication is used in patients with Parkinson's disease who have not experienced sufficient symptom improvement despite receiving medications containing levodopa. It helps alleviate the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, particularly motor difficulties. Further symptom improvement is expected in patients with insufficient treatment response. It assists in safely and effectively managing Parkinson's disease symptoms.
◌ Parkinson's disease Administer zonisamide 25mg orally once daily to adults. No improvement in motor function was observed with a daily dose of 50mg, which exceeds 25mg per day. To improve the wearing-off phenomenon of Parkinson's disease symptoms (a shortening of the duration of drug efficacy), 50mg may be administered orally once daily.
