This medication is used to help improve blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes. It can be administered alone or in conjunction with dietary and exercise therapy, and is used during initial therapy for diabetes. If blood sugar control is difficult with monotherapy, it can be used in combination with metformin. Additionally, it can be co-administered with other diabetes treatments such as sulfonylureas, thiazolidinediones, and insulin. If multiple medications are prescribed and blood sugar control is still inadequate, this drug can be added to enhance therapeutic effect. This medication is used to improve blood sugar control in patients with type 2 diabetes.

How to take

Precautions

This medication may cause hypersensitivity reactions, so if allergic symptoms or skin rashes, dyspnea, etc. occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. ACute pancreatitis may occur, so notify medical personnel immediately if symptoms such as abdominal pain, vomiting, or loss of appetite arise. Patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis should not use this medication, and it should be avoided in cases of hypersensitivity to this drug or its components. Patients with reduced renal function need dose adjustments, hence regular kidney function tests should be conducted and the medication should be taken according to the physician's instructions.
