Precautions

This medication may affect liver function, so if symptoms of liver dysfunction or jaundice occur, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention. This medication contains zinc, which may interfere with copper absorption, so caution is needed as patients with poor nutritional status may experience anemia or a decrease in blood cell count due to copper deficiency. If hypersensitivity reactions occur, symptoms such as rash, itching, or hives may develop, so if these symptoms appear, discontinue use and receive appropriate treatment. Gastrointestinal side effects such as nausea, abdominal bloating, constipation, vomiting, heartburn, and diarrhea have been reported, and if these symptoms persist or worsen, consult a doctor. Patients taking this medication may commonly experience nausea or digestive discomfort, so they should inform their healthcare provider if they experience any discomfort. Rarely, changes in blood cell counts, elevated liver enzyme levels, or allergic reactions may occur, so if any unusual symptoms arise, consult a healthcare professional immediately. There may be interactions with other medications, and if taken with penicillamine or levothyroxine sodium, efficacy may decrease, so inform your healthcare provider if taking these medications. Pregnant women or those who could become pregnant should use this medication only when the benefits of treatment are considered to outweigh the risks, and nursing mothers should avoid breastfeeding as the drug may pass into breast milk. Safety in children has not been established, therefore it should be administered cautiously to children due to lack of experience. Elderly patients may experience weakened digestive function, thus dosage should be adjusted and patient's condition should be observed carefully during use. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and it is important not to transfer it to another container to maintain its quality.
