Additionally, this medication contains lactose, so it should not be taken by patients with a genetic disorder that prevents them from digesting lactose. Patients with hypersensitivity to the drug or impaired renal function should reduce the dose or increase the dosing interval when using this medication, and patients with heart disease or liver dysfunction should use it with caution. While taking this medication, serious allergic reactions, blood abnormalities, severe skin disorders, liver dysfunction, muscle damage, cardiac arrhythmias, consciousness disturbances, nephritis, pneumonia, and other side effects may occasionally occur, so if any abnormal symptoms arise, stop taking it immediately and consult a doctor. Common side effects may include rash, indigestion, blood pressure changes, headache, drowsiness, insomnia, muscle cramps, etc. During treatment, changes in symptoms should be monitored closely, use the minimal effective dose, and consider alternative treatment methods if no effect is observed. This medication dissolves in the mouth but is not absorbed through the mucosa, so it must be swallowed with saliva or water. Patients undergoing hemodialysis should be cautious as the effectiveness of some medications may be reduced when used in conjunction with phosphate binders. Taking this medication with certain antifungals or anticancer drugs may decrease the effectiveness of the medication, so consult with a doctor or pharmacist.
