How to take

Adult dose

As Trimebutine Maleate, 100-200 mg per dose, taken orally three times a day before meals.

Precautions

This medication contains lactose; therefore, individuals with genetic problems such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. While taking this medication, gastrointestinal side effects such as constipation, diarrhea, borborygmus (noise in the intestines), nausea, vomiting, digestive disorders, dry mouth, and oral paresthesia may occur, albeit rarely. Additionally, palpitations may occur rarely, so caution should be taken. Central nervous system symptoms such as fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, lethargy, and headache may also manifest rarely. There can be rare increases in liver function tests, GOT and GPT, so attention to liver health is necessary. Skin reactions such as rashes can occur, so if any symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication when the benefits outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been established. Nursing women should also avoid this medication if possible; if it is necessary, discontinuing breastfeeding is advisable. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. It is also important not to transfer it to another container to maintain the quality of the medicine and prevent misuse.
