This medication is used when symptoms such as heartburn or acid regurgitation occur due to excessive secretion of stomach acid.

How to take

Adult dose

For individuals aged 16 and older, 1 tablet (10mg) can be taken once, up to 2 tablets (20mg) per day.

Precautions

This medication should not be used by patients who have previously experienced allergic reactions to this medication's ingredients or similar drugs. Additionally, as it contains lactose, patients with a genetic disorder that prevents lactose digestion should not take it. Patients who have difficulty swallowing food, experience pain while swallowing, or have bloody vomit or blood in their stool should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If heartburn symptoms persist for more than 3 months or if symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, or cold sweats occur, consultation with a specialist is necessary. Consultation is also required if there is pain in the chest or shoulder, shortness of breath, or frequent chest pain prior to taking this medication. If unexpected weight loss, nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain occurs, please consult a professional immediately. Patients taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or who have a history of drug allergies, as well as patients with kidney or liver function problems, heart disease, elderly individuals, pregnant women, and nursing mothers must consult a specialist before taking this medication. Particularly, caution should be exercised when taking this medication alongside specific antifungals or anticancer drugs due to potential drug interactions. If symptoms do not improve or worsen during treatment with this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Long-term use for more than 14 days is not recommended, and various side effects such as allergic reactions, skin rashes, liver dysfunction, muscle pain, heart irregularities, neurological symptoms, and digestive disorders may occur, so if such symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. This medication can mask symptoms of stomach cancer, so it should only be used temporarily for symptom relief and should not be taken with alcoholic beverages. If there are changes in bodily functions after taking this medication, consult a doctor or pharmacist, and patients undergoing hemodialysis should be cautious when taking this medication with certain drugs. Finally, keep it out of the reach of children, and do not transfer the medicine from its original container to another container to maintain its quality and prevent misuse.
