This medicine is used for the relief of pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, degenerative osteoarthritis, periarthritis of the shoulder, as well as non-articular rheumatism such as low back pain and sciatica.

How to take

Adult dose

As aceclofenac, take 200 mg once daily. This medicine should be taken whole, without chewing or breaking. To minimize cardiovascular side effects, it should be administered at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible.

Precautions

This medicine may cause gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than three servings of alcohol daily; therefore, it is essential to consult a physician or pharmacist. There is a risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular issues, and patients with risk factors such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and smoking should use with caution. Serious side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation may occur, so special care is required for the elderly or patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease. Patients with active peptic ulcers or a history of bleeding, as well as those allergic to this medication or similar drugs, should not take this medicine. Women in the late stages of pregnancy and breastfeeding mothers should not use this medicine, while women in the early or mid-pregnancy should use it cautiously. This medication should be administered with caution to patients with kidney, liver, or heart disease, and symptoms and side effects should be closely monitored during treatment. If abnormal symptoms such as dizziness, skin rash, or difficulty breathing occur, immediate consultation with healthcare personnel is required. This medicine may interact with other drugs; therefore, patients taking blood pressure medication, anticoagulants, diuretics, or antidiabetic medications must consult a physician. Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, paleness, severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in the oral/ocular mucosa, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities accompanying cough and fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headaches, thunderclap headaches, seizures, disorientation, visual disturbances, paralysis, urinary symptoms.
