This medication can be used alone as an adjunct to dietary therapy aimed at reducing elevated triglyceride levels in patients with hypertriglyceridemia (type IV). Additionally, it can be used in combination with statin drugs for patients with combined hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia (type IIb), effectively managing blood lipid levels. It is particularly beneficial as a combination therapy for patients with hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia whose triglyceride levels are not well controlled. Therefore, this medication is used to improve various types of dyslipidemia.
