This medication is used for patients who need to take both telmisartan and rosuvastatin simultaneously. Telmisartan primarily controls blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension and those at high risk for cardiovascular disease, reducing the risk of death due to cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction and stroke. Rosuvastatin helps lower cholesterol levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia or dyslipidemia, delaying the progression of atherosclerosis and reducing the risk of stroke and myocardial infarction associated with cardiovascular disease. Therefore, this medication is used to manage both hypertension and hyperlipidemia, and to prevent cardiovascular diseases.
