(Hypertension, cardiovascular disease) risk reduction and (hypercholesterolemia) improvement effects
This medicine is used for patients who need to take both telmisartan and rosuvastatin at the same time. Telmisartan is effective in treating essential hypertension and lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease. It particularly helps in reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and related deaths in high-risk patients aged 55 and older. Rosuvastatin improves dyslipidemia such as hypercholesterolemia, slows the progression of atherosclerosis, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases, strokes, and myocardial infarctions. These two medications are used to improve cardiovascular health by controlling both blood pressure and blood lipid levels in patients at high risk for cardiovascular diseases.
Telmisartan: The recommended dose is 40 mg orally once daily, which may be effective at 20 mg once daily in some patients. If necessary, the dose may be increased up to 80 mg once daily. For the purpose of reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease: It is recommended to take 80 mg orally once daily. In patients with liver impairment: Mild to moderate liver impairment patients should not exceed 40 mg once daily. Rosuvastatin Calcium.
