View approved original text

This medication is used for patients who require the combined administration of telmisartan and rosuvastatin. Telmisartan is primarily effective for patients with essential hypertension, particularly in reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death due to cardiovascular disease in patients aged over 55 who are at high risk for cardiovascular diseases. Rosuvastatin is used for hypercholesterolemia and mixed hyperlipidemia and is prescribed as an adjunct when dietary changes or exercise are insufficient. It is also effective in lowering cholesterol levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia, thereby delaying the progression of atherosclerosis and reducing the risk of cardiovascular events such as stroke and myocardial infarction. By using these two medications together, both blood pressure and cholesterol management are achieved, improving cardiovascular health.
