This medication is used only for patients who need to take both Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin together. Telmisartan reduces the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular death in patients over 55 years of age with high risk for cardiovascular disease, in addition to treating essential hypertension. Rosuvastatin lowers blood cholesterol levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, delays the progression of atherosclerosis, and reduces the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular interventions due to cardiovascular diseases. By using these two components together, cardiovascular risks due to hypertension and hyperlipidemia can be effectively managed. Therefore, this medication is used for the treatment of patients at risk of cardiovascular disease accompanied by hypertension and dyslipidemia.
