(Hypertension, cardiovascular disease) risk reduction and (hypercholesterolemia) improvement effect
This medication is used for patients who need to take telmisartan and rosuvastatin simultaneously. Telmisartan primarily helps to treat essential hypertension and reduces the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death due to cardiovascular disease in patients over 55 years old who are at high cardiovascular risk. Rosuvastatin Calcium is used as an adjunct to diet for patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, lowering total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels, therefore delaying the progression of atherosclerosis. Moreover, it reduces the risk of stroke and myocardial infarction in patients with high-risk cardiovascular disease and lowers the risk of recurrence after vascular revascularization. This medication is used to improve cardiovascular health in patients with both hypertension and dyslipidemia.
Telmisartan 1. Essential hypertension Adults: It is recommended to take 40 mg orally once daily as telmisartan, and in some patients, 20 mg once daily may be effective. If necessary, the dose can be increased to 80 mg once daily. 2. Reduction of cardiovascular disease risk Adults: It is recommended to take 80 mg orally once daily as this medication. 3. Patients with liver impairment Use with caution in patients with mild to moderate liver impairment.
