Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal skin infections as it may exacerbate symptoms. Persons allergic to this medication or its ingredients should avoid use. Caution is advised for those with a perforated eardrum as use may delay healing. Patients with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite may experience delayed healing due to inhibited skin regeneration, so it is preferable not to use this medication. It is also safe for patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, and rosacea to avoid this medication. Those allergic to aminoglycoside antibiotics should refrain from using this medication. This medication contains propylene glycol, so it should be used carefully in those allergic to this substance. Women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding must consult with a professional before use. Use in children or infants should be done cautiously under the guidance of a guardian. If symptoms of infection, rash, itching, or redness appear on the skin, use should be stopped immediately and consultation with a professional should be sought. Care is needed when using this medication over prolonged periods or on wide areas, as systemic side effects may occur. Caution is also required when using around the eyes due to the risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma. Long-term use may lead to skin thinning, pigment changes, hirsutism, and other side effects, so it is essential to strictly adhere to the dosage and duration. Children may absorb a higher amount of the drug relative to their body surface area, which could lead to adrenal suppression or growth retardation, so particular care is necessary. Methods such as occlusive dressings carry a higher risk of side effects and should not be used without a professional's guidance. When using the medication, it is important to adhere to the prescribed dosage and usage guidelines, and to stop use as soon as symptoms improve. This medication is not for ophthalmic use and should not be used for non-treatment purposes after makeup or shaving. Store out of reach of children and keep it tightly closed in its original container.
