Adult dose

Before administration, appropriate hypolipidemic dietary therapy must be initiated and continued during the treatment period. This medication should be taken with meals to avoid gastrointestinal disturbances. The usual initial dose for hypertriglyceridemia is 2g per day, and it can be increased to 4g per day if necessary. It should be administered once or twice daily.

This medicine should not be used in patients who are allergic to its ingredients or in children under 18 years of age. It should be used cautiously in patients at high risk of bleeding due to severe trauma or surgery, patients with poor liver function, and patients with fish allergies. During the use of this medication, side effects such as indigestion, rash, dizziness, headache, constipation, and nausea may occur, and in rare cases, serious heart problems or bleeding may happen; thus, if any abnormal symptoms arise, consult a doctor immediately. Before starting treatment, it is important to check triglyceride levels with a blood test and to also engage in non-drug treatments like weight management, dietary therapy, and exercise. Regular blood tests should be conducted to monitor liver function and cholesterol levels during medication; if no effect is observed after taking it for more than 2 months, it should be discontinued. If taken with medications that pose a bleeding risk, bleeding times may be prolonged, so careful monitoring per medical personnel's instructions is required. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should only use this drug after consulting a doctor, as its safety has not been sufficiently established. Safety and efficacy in children or the elderly have not been adequately proven, so it is not recommended. In cases of overdose, there are no specific antidotes, and treatment and supportive therapy according to symptoms are necessary. Store this medication out of reach of children and do not transfer it to other containers.

Hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with high fever, blisters, peeling skin, pain in oral/ocular mucosa, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities with cough and fever, yellowing of skin or eyes, extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, altered consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, significantly reduced urine output
