Improvement of symptoms in moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease
This medicine is used for patients with moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease to help improve memory decline and cognitive function. It alleviates symptoms caused by Alzheimer's disease and contributes to enhancing the patient's daily living abilities. Therefore, it is used for the treatment of moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease.
Treatment must be initiated by a physician experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's dementia, and only if a caregiver can regularly verify the patient's medication intake. This medicine can be taken irrespective of food intake. Dose increase: The maximum daily dose is 20 mg, and to minimize the risk of adverse reactions, the dosage should be gradually increased by 5 mg each week over the first 3 weeks to reach the maintenance dosage.
This medicine should not be used in patients with allergies to any of its components. It is also safe not to administer it to patients with severely impaired liver function or severely reduced kidney function. Caution is needed when using this medicine in patients with a history of epilepsy or seizures, or those prone to seizures. Taking this medicine together with other medications that have similar effects may increase the risk of side effects, so it is advisable not to combine them.
