Improvement of blood glucose control in adults with type 2 diabetes
This medication is used in conjunction with diet and exercise to improve blood glucose control in adults with type 2 diabetes. It can be administered to patients who find it difficult to control their blood glucose levels with monotherapy when they first receive diabetes medication. It can also be used when switching from a combination of Linagliptin and Metformin. In cases where blood glucose is not sufficiently controlled with insulin and Metformin combination therapy, this drug can be administered alongside insulin to enhance therapeutic effects. Lastly, if blood glucose control remains challenging with a combination of Metformin and Empagliflozin, this medication can be used together with Empagliflozin for effective blood glucose management. This drug is used to improve blood glucose control in patients with type 2 diabetes.
This medication is administered twice daily with meals. 1. For patients not currently treated with Metformin: Take this drug 2.5/500 mg twice a day, 1 tablet at a time, and it can be increased to 2.5/1000 mg, 1 tablet twice daily. 2. In switching from a combination therapy with Linagliptin and Metformin: Patients switching from the existing Linagliptin and Metformin should take the same dosage as their previous regimen.
