View approved original text

This medication is used as an adjunct to dietary therapy to reduce elevated triglyceride levels in patients with endogenous hypertriglyceridemia. It can be administered alone to patients with hypertriglyceridemia (Type IV) and used in combination with statins for patients having mixed hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia (Type IIb). Additionally, it can be combined with statins to enhance therapeutic effects when triglyceride levels are not adequately controlled. This medication aids in managing blood lipid levels, contributing to the prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, this drug is very effective for the treatment of patients with hypertriglyceridemia and mixed dyslipidemia.
