Precautions

This medication may affect liver function, so if symptoms of liver dysfunction or jaundice occur, it should be discontinued immediately and medical attention sought. This medication contains zinc, which may interfere with copper absorption, potentially leading to copper deficiency symptoms. Especially in patients with poor nutritional status, symptoms such as anemia or leukopenia may occur, so appropriate treatment is necessary if unusual symptoms arise. If any hypersensitivity reactions such as rash, itching, or hives occur during use, it should be discontinued immediately. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, dyspepsia, constipation, vomiting, or abdominal distension may occur while taking this medication, and if symptoms are severe, consultation with a physician is recommended. This medication may interact with other drugs, especially when taken with penicillamine or levothyroxine sodium, which may reduce its effectiveness, so care should be taken not to take them at the same time. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use this medication only if the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks, and nursing mothers should avoid breastfeeding as it may be passed through breast milk. Safety in children has not been established; thus, caution is advised due to lack of usage experience. Elderly patients may have reduced digestive function, so the dosage should be adjusted, and the patient's condition should be carefully monitored. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers to maintain quality.
