This medication is used in patients who require the combined use of telmisartan and rosuvastatin. Telmisartan helps reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular-related mortality in patients with essential hypertension and those over 55 years old at high risk for cardiovascular disease. Rosuvastatin is used in patients with hypercholesterolemia or familial hypercholesterolemia when diet cannot control the condition, aiming to lower total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels and delay the progression of atherosclerosis. It is also used to reduce the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and vascular interventions in high-risk patients. Therefore, this medication effectively reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases through blood pressure control and lipid improvement.
