This medication is used for patients who need to take both telmisartan and rosuvastatin simultaneously. Telmisartan helps reduce the risk of death due to essential hypertension, myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular diseases. It is especially effective for high-risk patients who cannot use ACE inhibitors. Rosuvastatin improves lipid disorders such as hypercholesterolemia, slows the progression of atherosclerosis, and lowers the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It is also used for reducing the risk of stroke and myocardial infarction, as well as risks associated with arterial revascularization in patients with high-sensitive C-reactive protein levels and additional risk factors. Therefore, this medication is used to manage both hypertension and dyslipidemia simultaneously to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
