This medication is used in patients who require simultaneous administration of both Telmisartan and Rosuvastatin. Telmisartan helps treat essential hypertension and reduces the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and mortality due to cardiovascular diseases in elderly patients at high risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. Rosuvastatin is used for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia, controlling total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol levels, thus delaying the progression of atherosclerosis. Additionally, it has been shown to reduce the risk of stroke and myocardial infarction and the need for vascular re-interventions in high-risk patients. The combination of these two drugs is effective in managing hypertension, dyslipidemia, and reducing cardiovascular disease risk.
