How to take

Adult dose

For cilostazol, the usual adult dose is 200 mg orally once daily. This medication should be taken on an empty stomach, avoiding meals.

Precautions

This medication may increase heart rate, which can trigger angina symptoms, so careful observation for symptoms such as chest pain is required. This medication should not be used in patients with a risk of bleeding or those who have recently had a bleeding disorder. Patients with congestive heart failure, previous hypersensitivity to this medication, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding should also avoid its use. When used with anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents, the risk of bleeding may increase, so blood coagulation status should be regularly monitored.
