Relief of painful muscle spasms associated with musculoskeletal disorders (frozen shoulder syndrome, periarthritis of the shoulder)
This medicine is used to treat painful muscle spasms associated with musculoskeletal disorders such as frozen shoulder syndrome, periarthritis of the shoulder, and low back pain.
This medication is in sustained release tablet form, so it should be taken whole without crushing, dividing, or chewing. Administer orally after meals, 1 tablet (75 mg of eperison hydrochloride) twice a day. Adjust dosage appropriately based on age and symptoms.
This medication should not be used in patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication or in patients with myasthenia gravis. It should be used with caution in patients with a history of allergies or liver function issues, as liver function may be worsened. This medication can occasionally cause severe allergic reactions or serious skin adverse effects; if symptoms such as rash, itching, or difficulty breathing occur, stop using it immediately and seek medical attention. Additionally, during treatment with this medication, side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, headache, dyspepsia, vomiting, constipation, and diarrhea may occur. If any unusual symptoms appear, consult a physician. There may be feelings of weakness, staggering, or drowsiness during administration, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use this medication only when the benefits outweigh the risks, as its safety during pregnancy has not been established. Nursing mothers should preferably avoid taking this medication and if unavoidable, discontinue breastfeeding. Safety in children has not been sufficiently proven, so caution is needed when using it in this population, and adjustments in dosage may be required for elderly patients due to potential declines in physiological function. When taking this medication alongside similar medications, side effects may appear, so it is essential to consult with a physician or pharmacist.
