This medication is used for various inflammatory conditions of the eye, including blepharitis (eyelid inflammation), conjunctivitis, keratitis, scleritis, and uveitis. It is also effective in treating inflammation that may occur after surgery. It is used to improve various types of ocular inflammation.

How to apply drops

Adult eye dose

Instill 1-2 drops, 2-4 times a day. For the first 1-2 days, it may be used hourly as needed. Adjust dosage appropriately based on symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with viral keratitis or conjunctivitis, fungal eye infections, tuberculous eye infections, untreated purulent infections, and those with hypersensitivity to this medication. It should also not be used in patients with damaged corneal epithelium or ulcers due to the risk of severe side effects such as corneal perforation. Caution should be exercised in patients with glaucoma and in children. Especially in children, prolonged high-dose use may cause adrenal suppression, so careful monitoring is necessary. Use of this medication can result in various adverse reactions such as urticaria, headache, increased intraocular pressure, cataract, eye congestion, blurred vision, and eye pain. Contact lens wearers should remove their lenses before applying the drops and wait at least 15 minutes after application before reinserting them. If inflammation or pain persists or worsens for more than 48 hours, discontinue use and consult a physician.
