Dovejinjeong 250 mg (Dovesil Acid Calcium Hydrate)

Adult dose

Adults: Administer the following doses of calcium dobesilate hydrate orally. 1. Vascular lesions and retinopathy: 500~1000mg daily 2. Venous disease: Administer 750mg daily for 1~3 weeks, followed by 500mg daily. Take after meals with plenty of fluids. The dose may be adjusted as appropriate according to age and symptoms.

This medication should not be used by patients who are allergic to this medication or any of its components. Moreover, this medication contains lactose; therefore, it should not be administered to patients with a genetic problem of lactose intolerance. Caution should be exercised when using this medication in patients with renal impairment, and the dose may be reduced, especially in patients with severely impaired renal function requiring dialysis. Patients with hepatic dysfunction should also exercise caution when using this medication, and if liver enzyme levels rise, treatment efficacy and risk should be re-evaluated. This medication contains sulfites, which can cause allergic reactions or asthma attacks in some individuals, so asthmatic patients or those sensitive to sulfites should be cautious. When taking this medication, symptoms such as headache, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, arthralgia, and myalgia may occur, and if these side effects are severe or if skin rash, fever, or hematological abnormalities appear, the medication should be discontinued immediately, and a doctor should be consulted. Although rare, serious blood disorders may occur, so if there are symptoms of high fever or frequent infections, the hospital should be visited immediately. This medication can cause severe allergic reactions, so if hypersensitivity symptoms appear, the use should be discontinued immediately. The effect of this medication on driving or operating machinery is unknown, so caution is required. It is advisable to avoid use during pregnancy, and in breastfeeding cases, this medication may be secreted in small amounts into breast milk and affect the baby, so either the medication should be discontinued or breastfeeding should be stopped. The safety in children has not been adequately studied, so it should be used cautiously in children. There are no special precautions for elderly patients over 65; however, use should be based on their general health condition. This medication may affect the results of some blood tests, so it's important to inform the doctor that you are taking this medication before undergoing tests. No specific symptoms have been reported for overdose, but if problems arise, general emergency care should be received.
