How to take

Adult dose

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to it or in cases of myasthenia gravis. The medication should be cautiously administered to patients with a history of hypersensitivity to drugs or those with liver function issues, as there is a risk of liver function impairment. During the treatment with this medication, serious allergic reactions may rarely occur, so if symptoms like redness, itching, hives, swelling, or respiratory difficulties appear, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. Additionally, this medication can cause serious skin reactions such as toxic epidermal necrolysis or Stevens-Johnson syndrome, so if symptoms like fever, erythema, blisters, itching, conjunctival injection, or stomatitis occur, stop administration immediately. Be vigilant for various side effects that can arise during the use of this medication, such as liver and kidney function abnormalities, anemia, skin rashes, neuropsychiatric symptoms (insomnia, drowsiness, headache, etc.), gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, etc.), urinary symptoms (urinary retention, incontinence, etc.), and systemic symptoms (weakness, dizziness, etc.). If symptoms like weakness, staggering, or drowsiness occur during treatment, it may be necessary to reduce or stop the dosage. This medication can cause drowsiness and decreased attention, so dangerous tasks such as driving or operating machinery should be avoided. Furthermore, if taken with other medications containing similar ingredients, there may be visual disturbances, so it is essential to consult with a doctor or pharmacist. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication when the benefits outweigh the risks, and nursing mothers should avoid using it or should discontinue breastfeeding if it must be used. The safety in children has not been sufficiently established, so it should be used with caution. In elderly patients, special care needs to be taken to adjust the dosage due to potential decline in physical function.
