This medication is effective for various pain and inflammatory conditions such as fever and pain due to colds, back pain, menstrual pain, and rheumatoid arthritis. It is particularly helpful in alleviating pain after surgery, as well as in conditions like inflammatory rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It is also used for headaches, migraines, toothaches, muscle pain, and neuralgia, as well as for treatment of ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout, and psoriatic arthritis. It is effective for non-joint rheumatic diseases such as soft tissue injuries, tendinitis, tenosynovitis, and bursitis. It is widely used to alleviate symptoms for patients by improving the major inflammation and pain overall.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

1. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, soft tissue injuries, non-joint rheumatic diseases, acute gout, psoriatic arthritis: 200-600 mg orally 3-4 times a day. A maximum of 3200 mg can be administered in a day. 3. Mild to moderate pain, cold: 200-400 mg orally 3-4 times a day. 4. Migraine: 200-400 mg orally per dose.

Precautions

This medication should be discussed with a physician or pharmacist if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks per day due to the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, particularly for individuals with pre-existing cardiovascular conditions or risk factors. If abnormalities in cardiovascular symptoms occur during use, it is essential to consult medical personnel, and high-dose use should be avoided. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforations, so elderly patients or those on long-term treatment should be especially cautious.   • High fever with severe rash, blisters, skin peeling, oral/ocular mucosa pain → severe skin adverse reactions
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, cough with fever → respiratory abnormalities
  • Skin or eyes turning yellow (jaundice), severe systemic reactions

Mild side effects

Headache, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, indigestion, loss of appetite, stomatitis, constipation, skin rash, itching, fatigue, fever, epistaxis (nosebleed), hypotension, hypertension, palpitations, periorbital edema, facial swelling, blood abnormalities (anemia, leukopenia, etc.)

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or high doses of methotrexate. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking it with low-dose aspirin, ACE inhibitors, lithium, furosemide and thiazide diuretics, coumarin anticoagulants (such as warfarin), selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors.

Storage
