This medicine is used for patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled by monotherapy with either amlodipine or valsartan. It effectively lowers blood pressure, aiding in the management of hypertension.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose for this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water, regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning) if possible.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established; therefore, administration of this medication is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious damage to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with allergies to the active ingredient of this medication or related drugs, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and patients with severe kidney or liver disease should not take this medication. Patients with low sodium or fluid levels should have their condition regulated before administration, and any occurrence of hypotension during treatment should be addressed immediately. Patients with high potassium levels or those taking medications that can increase potassium levels should have their potassium levels monitored regularly. Patients with renal vascular issues or those who have received a kidney transplant should have their kidney function closely monitored while using this medication. If symptoms of angioedema occur, use should be discontinued immediately and not re-administered. Patients with heart failure or myocardial infarction should have their kidney function assessed. Patients with certain cardiac conditions, such as acute myocardial infarction or aortic stenosis, need to be cautious when taking this medication. This medication may increase the risk of hypotension, impaired kidney function, and hyperkalemia when combined with certain other antihypertensive drugs, so blood pressure, kidney function, and electrolyte status should be closely monitored during concurrent administration. There may be dizziness or fatigue when driving or operating machinery, so caution is advised. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension and increased heart rate may appear, necessitating immediate medical attention. This medication is not recommended for children under 18 years of age as its safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently established. For the elderly, it can be administered at the same dosage as in adults, but their condition should be closely monitored. Adverse reactions during treatment may include headache, dizziness, edema, hypotension, digestive disorders, skin rash, etc.; if symptoms are severe or persist, consult a physician.
