Precautions

This medication should not be administered to women in the first three months of pregnancy or those who could become pregnant if exceeding 5,000 IU of Vitamin A per day, as it may increase the risk of congenital malformations in the fetus. Patients with hypercalcemia, sarcoidosis, kidney diseases, or allergies to any components of this medication should not take it. Furthermore, infants under 3 months, patients with kidney stones, and those allergic to soy oil, beans, or peanuts should also avoid this medication. This medication contains Yellow No. 4 and Yellow No. 5 dyes, which require caution for individuals with allergies to these substances. Patients undergoing treatment, as well as those with a history of hyperoxaluria, gout, kidney stones, pregnant or breastfeeding women, preterm infants, and children should consult a specialist before taking this medication. Especially, excessive intake of Vitamin A during pregnancy may increase the risk of giving birth to malformed infants, necessitating caution. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, skin itching, dry and rough skin, joint swelling, or diarrhea occur during the use of this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Long-term high-dose use may lead to tolerance, and side effects such as peptic ulcers, blood glucose control disorders, hyperuricemia, liver damage, and increased risk of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women may arise. In cases of overdose or no improvement in symptoms after one month of use, discontinue and consult a specialist. The prescribed dosage must be strictly followed, and care should be taken not to exceed a daily intake of 5,000 IU of Vitamin A. This medication can affect blood glucose measurements during urinalysis and change urine color to yellow, impacting clinical test results. Regular checks of plasma lipid levels are necessary for patients with lipid metabolism disorders, and dosages should be adjusted as needed. When used with other lipid agents, dosages should be adjusted considering lipid content. Store this medication out of reach of children in a tightly sealed container away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place. Care should be taken not to transfer the medication to another container to maintain quality.
