Antipyretic effect for fever due to acute upper respiratory tract infection
This medication effectively reduces fever caused by acute upper respiratory tract infections, alleviating discomfort for patients.
Specific dosing for adults is not provided.
For children aged 6 months and above, a single dose of 0.4-0.6 mL/kg (5-7 mg/kg of dexibuprofen) may be taken every 4-6 hours as needed. Do not exceed a maximum of 4 doses (28 mg/kg) in one day.
This medication may cause gastric bleeding if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than 3 drinks a day, so consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is essential. People with heart or vascular issues or risk factors should be cautious, as it can increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction and stroke. Significant gastrointestinal issues such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforations may occur, especially in older adults or those with a history of gastrointestinal disease. The artificial sweetener aspartame in this medication should not be given to individuals with the genetic disorder phenylketonuria. Individuals with specific conditions such as peptic ulcers, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, severe heart failure, or severe hypertension should not take this medication. Those who have had allergic reactions or symptoms such as asthma or hives from this medication or similar drugs should also avoid it. Individuals with blood abnormalities, reduced liver or kidney function, a history of hypertension or heart disease, older adults, and children should use this medication carefully and consult a physician. If symptoms like skin rashes, breathing difficulty, low blood pressure, severe headaches, nausea, vomiting, visual disturbances, hearing issues, or acute kidney failure occur during use, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a doctor. This medication may interact with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin, diuretics, antihypertensives, anticoagulants, etc., increasing the risk of side effects, so consultation with medical personnel is necessary. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should preferably avoid this medication, especially in late pregnancy, as it may affect the fetus; consultation with a doctor is advised during pregnancy. Breastfeeding women may need to discontinue breastfeeding or stop taking this medication since it can be transferred to breast milk and affect the baby. Children and older adults should be given the minimum effective dose carefully, with close observation for any adverse reactions. For long-term use of this medication, regular blood tests and liver/kidney function tests are necessary, and any abnormalities should be reported immediately to medical personnel. In case of overdose, immediate emergency measures such as gastric lavage or inducing vomiting should be taken. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers. The maximum daily dosage of this medication is limited according to body weight, so care must be taken not to exceed the recommended dosage.

Do not use this medication in conjunction with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Consult a physician or pharmacist when using with glucocorticoids, digoxin, phenytoin, probenecid, sulfinpyrazone, sulfonylureas, diuretics, antihypertensives, ACE inhibitors, furosemide, aspirin, lithium, methotrexate, and coumarin anticoagulants (such as warfarin).
Caution is advised when using this medication with alcohol.
This medication is sensitive to light, so it should be stored in a container that blocks light. Additionally, it is important to maintain a stable room temperature between 15°C and 25°C for storage to preserve the effectiveness of the medication.
