Used for rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis), and inflammation and pain occurring around joints. It also helps relieve various pains such as toothache, post-traumatic inflammation, back pain, sciatica. This medicine effectively improves pain caused by non-articular rheumatism.

How to take

Adult dose

As aceclofenac, take 100 mg twice a day every 12 hours. This medication should be taken whole without chewing or crushing. Adjust dosage as appropriate based on symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular side effects, it should be administered at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Precautions

People who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages daily must consult a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication, as it may cause gastrointestinal bleeding when taken with alcohol. Individuals at risk for cardiovascular or cerebrovascular diseases should use this medication under careful medical supervision at the minimum effective dose and for the shortest possible duration, as it may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. Also, any cardiovascular symptoms should be reported immediately. Those at high risk for ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding should be cautious as this medication can cause serious side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforation. Particularly, the elderly are at a higher risk for these side effects. Patients with a history of active peptic ulcers or bleeding, hypersensitivity to this medication or similar drugs, and individuals with a history of asthma or allergic reactions should avoid this medication. Furthermore, patients with severe heart failure, severe kidney or liver disease, pregnant women in late pregnancy, and nursing mothers should not use this medication. Caution is advised for individuals with kidney or liver function issues, hypertension, or a history of asthma, and close medical observation may be required if necessary. This medication may cause side effects such as dizziness, gastrointestinal disturbances, elevated liver enzyme levels, skin rashes, and rarely symptoms like heart rhythm abnormalities or difficulty breathing. Especially, the elderly should be particularly cautious of gastrointestinal bleeding and perforation risks when taking this medication. There may be interactions with other medications during the use of this drug, so those taking other medications such as digoxin, anticoagulants, diabetes drugs, diuretics should definitely consult their doctor. Pregnant or planning to become pregnant women are advised to avoid taking this medication, and nursing mothers should also refrain from its use. The safety and efficacy for children and adolescents are not established, so its use is not recommended. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as gastrointestinal irritation, hypotension, respiratory depression, and convulsions may occur, requiring immediate medical attention. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers.
