Adult dose
For hemostasis and relief of symptoms in gastric and duodenal ulcers and erosive gastritis, and for relief of symptoms in gastroesophageal reflux disease, the usual dose of sodium alginate is 1 to 3g (about 20 to 60mL) taken orally on an empty stomach 3 to 4 times a day. If oral administration is not possible, it is administered via a nasogastric tube. For bleeding during gastric biopsy, the usual dose is 0.5 to 1.5g (about 10 to 30mL) administered endoscopically.

How to take

Adult dose

For hemostasis and relief of symptoms in gastric and duodenal ulcers and erosive gastritis, and for relief of symptoms in gastroesophageal reflux disease, the usual dose of sodium alginate is 1 to 3g (about 20 to 60mL) taken orally on an empty stomach 3 to 4 times a day. If oral administration is not possible, it is administered via a nasogastric tube. For bleeding during gastric biopsy, the usual dose is 0.5 to 1.5g (about 10 to 30mL) administered endoscopically.

Precautions
