Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who are hypersensitive to its components. This medication contains lactose, therefore individuals with hereditary lactose intolerance should avoid taking it. Those with a history of allergy to soybean oil, soy, or peanuts should also refrain from using this medication. This medication should be used cautiously in patients who have had hypersensitivity reactions to medications, those with impaired liver or kidney function, dialysis patients, and elderly patients. Special caution is required for individuals with dyslipidemia or diabetic dyslipidemia, pancreatitis, or other metabolic issues related to fats. This medication can rarely cause severe allergic reactions, so if during administration facial paleness, blood pressure drops, or difficulty breathing occurs, use should be discontinued immediately and a hospital should be contacted. Liver function may deteriorate or jaundice symptoms may appear, so regular liver function tests should be performed, and if abnormalities are found, medication should be discontinued. Agranulocytosis or thrombocytopenia may also occur, so if symptoms like sore throat, generalized fatigue, or fever appear, immediate consultation with a physician is necessary. This medication may cause gastrointestinal symptoms like constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal bloating, and loss of appetite. Central nervous system effects such as headaches, insomnia, drowsiness, dizziness have been reported, and hallucinations or altered consciousness may occur rarely. Since it can affect multiple organs such as blood, liver, and kidneys, any abnormal symptoms should be informed to medical personnel. While taking this medication, symptoms of malignant tumors may be masked, so if there is weight loss, recurrent vomiting, or hematemesis, testing must be conducted. If gastric cancer is suspected, it should be confirmed by endoscopy; if malignant gastric cancer is discovered, use must be discontinued. Elderly patients may have reduced bodily function, thus dosage and administration intervals should be adjusted and their condition carefully monitored. Dialysis patients should start at a low dose as blood concentration may rise. Pregnant women should only take it if the physician determines that the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks, and nursing women should preferably avoid taking it as it may be secreted in breast milk. Safety in children has not been established, so caution is required in usage. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children, and care should be taken to avoid transfer to another container from its original container to prevent misuse or degradation of quality.
