Improvement of blood sugar control in type 2 diabetes

The recommended dosage for this medication is 5 mg once daily. It can be taken regardless of meals.
This medication should not be used in patients allergic to the active ingredient or any other components. It is advisable not to take this medicine if you have type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. There may be an increased risk of hypoglycemia when used with other medications that can cause low blood sugar, so caution is advised. The risk of hypoglycemia may be particularly high when combined with insulin or sulfonylureas, and dose adjustments may be necessary. Patients with congestive heart failure should use this medication cautiously, and if symptoms of pancreatitis occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Additionally, blisters resembling bullous pemphigoid can occur, so if such symptoms arise, stop taking the medication and consult a specialist. Various adverse reactions such as hypoglycemia, pancreatitis, and skin rashes have been reported during the use of this medication, so it is important to notify healthcare professionals if symptoms occur. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should avoid using this medication, and it is not recommended for children and adolescents. Older adults or patients with reduced kidney or liver function can use it without necessary dose adjustments. In case of overdose, measures should be taken to prevent absorption in the gastrointestinal tract, observe symptoms, and receive necessary treatment. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and not transferred to another container for safety.
Hives, angioedema, pancreatitis, bullous pemphigoid, severe and debilitating joint pain, chest tightness, breathing difficulty, respiratory distress, acute pancreatitis, congestive heart failure, asthma attacks, severe allergic reactions, extreme edema, severe skin adverse reactions, serious neurological symptoms (sudden and severe headaches, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis), liver dysfunction (yellowing of skin or eyes)
