This medication is used to relieve constipation and improve symptoms such as loss of appetite, abdominal distension, abnormal fermentation in the intestines, and hemorrhoids caused by constipation.

How to take

Adult dose

For those aged 15 and older and adults: Take 1 to 2 capsules once daily at bedtime (on an empty stomach). Start with the minimum dose and gradually increase or decrease based on the shape and state of the stool.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with acute abdominal diseases, intestinal obstruction, and those with allergies to soy oil, soybeans, or peanuts. When taking this medication, it is advisable not to take it within 1 hour after consuming antacids or milk. Patients experiencing severe abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, and individuals taking other medications should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Patients on sodium-restricted diets or with a history of rectal bleeding or intestinal dysfunction, as well as those with lipid metabolism issues, should exercise caution. This medication contains a dye called Yellow No. 5, so it should be used carefully by individuals allergic to this component. If any unusual symptoms such as skin rash, redness, itching, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, or vomiting occur while taking the medication, it should be discontinued immediately and a healthcare professional consulted. If abdominal discomfort or cramps occur or if constipation does not improve after taking the medication for more than 1 week, it is important to stop taking the medication and consult a doctor. The prescribed dosage and administration should be strictly followed, and children under 10 years of age should avoid taking it unless specifically necessary. Long-term use may lead to tolerance to the medication and worsening of constipation, so continuous use for more than 1 week should be avoided, and the underlying cause of persistent constipation should be investigated. Patients at risk of excessive fat should regularly monitor blood lipid levels and adjust the drug dosage if necessary.
