This medication is effective for various peptic ulcer diseases such as gastric and duodenal ulcers, anastomotic ulcers, and upper gastrointestinal bleeding. It is also used for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and helps improve mucosal lesions in acute and chronic gastritis. This medication treats erosion, bleeding, redness, and edema of the gastric mucosa to relieve symptoms and promote mucosal recovery. Overall, it is used to restore gastrointestinal mucosal health and treat ulcers and inflammation.

How to take

Adult dose

1. Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to certain ingredients or have inherited metabolic disorders such as lactose intolerance. Also, individuals with a history of drug allergies or issues with kidney, liver, or heart function should be especially cautious when using this medication. Elderly patients may have reduced kidney function, so dosage should be adjusted or the dosing interval extended. While taking this medication, though rare, serious allergic reactions, blood abnormalities, heart rhythm problems, liver dysfunction, kidney issues, and skin symptoms may occur, so symptoms should be reported to medical personnel immediately. Patients undergoing dialysis should be cautious, as the effectiveness of this medication may decrease when used with phosphate binders. There may be interactions that reduce effectiveness when this medication is taken with some antifungals or antineoplastics, so consultation with medical personnel is necessary. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully evaluate the benefits and risks of taking this medication, and breastfeeding women are advised to discontinue breastfeeding while using it. Safety for use in children has not been adequately established, so it is not recommended.
