Adult dose

Before administering this medication, an appropriate lipid-lowering diet must be implemented, which should continue throughout the treatment period. This medication should be taken with meals to avoid gastrointestinal disturbances. For hypertriglyceridemia, the usual initial dosage is 2g (2 capsules) per day, which may be increased to 4g per day if necessary. It can be administered once or twice a day.

This medication should not be used in patients who have allergic reactions to its components or in children under 18 years of age. Patients at high risk of bleeding due to severe trauma or surgery, those with poor liver function, and patients who are allergic to fish should be particularly cautious when using this medication. While taking this medication, side effects such as dyspepsia, belching, rash, and taste disturbance may occur, so any unusual symptoms should be discussed with a healthcare professional. Before taking the medication, it is important to check if triglyceride levels are outside the normal range through blood tests, and to manage weight or diet concurrently. This medication may affect blood coagulation, so if it is taken with anticoagulants or acetylsalicylic acid, the risk of bleeding should be monitored. Pregnant and nursing women should use this medication only after consultation with a doctor, as its safety has not been fully established. There is no specific antidote for overdose, so treatment should focus on alleviating symptoms and supportive therapy as needed. Keep out of reach of children and do not transfer the medication to other containers, as this can compromise quality. This medication is relatively safe for the elderly, but cardiac-related side effects such as atrial fibrillation may occur, so administration should be discontinued immediately if symptoms develop.
