Adult dosage

This medication should be preceded by an appropriate lipid-lowering dietary regimen that must continue throughout the treatment period. This medication should be taken with meals to avoid gastrointestinal disturbances. In the treatment of hypertriglyceridemia, the initial dose is 2g daily (2 capsules) and may be increased up to 4g daily if necessary. It is administered once or twice daily.

This medication should not be used in individuals allergic to its ingredients or children under 18 years of age. Patients at high risk of bleeding due to severe trauma or surgery, those with poor liver function, and individuals allergic to fish should use this medication cautiously. During the use of this medication, various side effects such as indigestion, belching, rash, altered taste, cold symptoms, and back pain may occur, so any unusual symptoms should be discussed with a doctor. Particularly, patients with heart disease or risk factors should be cautious when using this drug due to the risk of cardiac issues such as atrial fibrillation. This medication may affect blood coagulation, so the risk of bleeding may increase when taken with anticoagulants or aspirin. Individuals taking these medications must consult a doctor. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should use this medication only if absolutely necessary, under a doctor's judgment, as its safety has not been sufficiently confirmed. The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in children, hence its use is not recommended. Elderly individuals over 65 years old also require special attention and should regularly monitor their condition through blood tests, etc. In case of overdose, there is no specific antidote, so appropriate treatment and supportive care depending on symptoms are required. During the course of treatment, regular monitoring of blood lipid levels and liver function tests should be performed, and it is important to follow a dietary regimen and exercise. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, and transferring it to other containers should be avoided to maintain quality and safety.

Serious side effects

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with high fever, blisters, peeling skin, pain in oral/ocular mucosa, jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, significantly reduced urine output, severe body swelling accompanied by elevated blood pressure, asthma attack
