This medication is used to treat constipation. It also helps alleviate symptoms such as reduced appetite, abdominal bloating, abnormal fermentation in the intestines, and hemorrhoids that may arise from constipation. Therefore, this medication is effective in improving constipation and its uncomfortable symptoms.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 and older: Take 1-2 capsules once daily at bedtime. In the first dose, take the minimum amount and gradually increase or decrease based on the shape and condition of the stool.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with acute abdominal diseases or intestinal obstruction, and by individuals allergic to soybean oil or peanuts. It is advisable not to take antacids or milk within 1 hour of taking this medication. Individuals experiencing severe abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting, pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, and those taking other medications should consult a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. Those on a sodium-restricted diet or with a history of rectal bleeding or intestinal failure should also consult a professional before taking. Patients with lipid metabolism disorders such as hyperlipoproteinemia, diabetic hyperlipidemia, pancreatitis, or patients requiring careful administration of lipid emulsions should exercise caution. This medication contains the dye Yellow No. 5, so individuals allergic to this substance should take care when taking it. If symptoms such as skin rash, itching, severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, or cramping occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Furthermore, if there is no improvement in constipation after approximately one week of use, discontinue use and consult a physician. This medication must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and frequency; children under 10 years of age should avoid taking unless specifically necessary. Long-term use may lead to tolerance to the medication and worsening constipation, so it should not be taken for more than one week continuously. Patients expected to experience a lipid overload should check plasma lipid levels and adjust the dosage as necessary. When storing this medication, keep it out of the reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and store it in a cool, dry place in a sealed container. Also, it is important not to transfer it to a different container to maintain quality.
