Effectiveness in controlling essential hypertension
This medication can be used when blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled with telmisartan alone in patients with essential hypertension. In other words, it helps to add this medication to more effectively control blood pressure in cases where blood pressure management is difficult with existing treatment. This helps to stabilize blood pressure and reduces the risk of cardiovascular complications. The appropriate dosage and administration should be adjusted according to the patient's condition, aiming for consistent blood pressure management. Therefore, it plays an auxiliary role in the treatment of essential hypertension and improves blood pressure control.
For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with telmisartan alone, it should be taken once daily with water, regardless of meals. After adjusting the individual component doses, this medication may be switched to. The combination of telmisartan/hydrochlorothiazide 40/12.5 mg can be administered to patients whose blood pressure is not controlled with 40 mg of telmisartan. The 80/12.5 mg formulation can be administered to patients whose blood pressure is not controlled with 80 mg of telmisartan.
