How to take

Adult dose

For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with telmisartan alone, take once daily with water irrespective of meals. The combination drug telmisartan/hydrochlorothiazide 40/12.5mg may be administered to patients for whom 40mg of telmisartan alone does not adequately control blood pressure. The combination drug telmisartan/hydrochlorothiazide 80/12.5mg can be given to patients for whom 80mg of telmisartan does not adequately control blood pressure.

Precautions

This medication should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it can cause serious harm to the fetus.
