Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. First, those who have allergic reactions to this medication should avoid taking it, and patients with severe myasthenia gravis, which is a serious muscle dysfunction, should not be administered this drug. Additionally, patients with a history of allergies or liver function problems should use this medication with caution. Individuals with liver impairment should be particularly careful, as liver function may worsen. During the use of this medication, rare but serious allergic reactions may occur. For example, if symptoms such as skin rash, itching, swelling, or difficulty breathing arise, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Moreover, serious skin conditions like toxic epidermal necrolysis or Stevens-Johnson syndrome may appear, so symptoms like fever, skin rash, blisters, red eyes, or stomatitis should be closely monitored. Additionally, various side effects affecting multiple organs, including the liver, kidneys, blood, nervous system, gastrointestinal tract, and urogenital tract, have been reported, so it is important to notify healthcare professionals of any abnormal symptoms immediately. During treatment, symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness, and drowsiness may occur, so it is advisable to avoid hazardous activities like driving or operating machinery. This medication may cause visual disturbances when taken along with other muscle relaxants, so caution is advised when co-administering. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication when the benefits of treatment are deemed greater than the risks, as its safety has not been fully confirmed. Breastfeeding mothers should avoid taking this medication if possible, and if it is unavoidable, discontinuing breastfeeding is recommended. The safety of this drug has not been sufficiently verified in children, so caution is necessary in their use. Elderly patients may have decreased physical function, so extra care, such as reducing the dosage, is required when using this medication.
