Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially during the second and third trimesters. Therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. This medication should not be used in patients with certain medical conditions, such as those with anuria or hypersensitivity to certain drugs, severe liver impairment, kidney impairment, or pregnant women. Patients with very low blood pressure, poor kidney function, a history of liver disease, and those with electrolyte imbalance should use this medication cautiously, and may require regular monitoring. Since this medication acts to lower blood pressure, dizziness or drowsiness may occur, and caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. During treatment, regular monitoring of blood electrolyte levels, liver function, and kidney function should be conducted to ensure no abnormalities occur, with particular attention paid to potassium levels. This medication can interact with other drugs, so if you are taking any other medications, be sure to consult with your doctor or pharmacist. Additionally, it is advisable to avoid potassium supplements or potassium-containing salt substitutes during treatment and to refrain from consuming grapefruit juice concurrently. The Hydrochlorothiazide component may increase sensitivity to sunlight, raising the risk of skin cancer, so it is important to limit sun exposure and regularly check the condition of the skin. The safety and efficacy of this medication have not been established in children and adolescents, so it is not used in these populations. If any unusual symptoms or side effects occur during treatment, consult healthcare professionals immediately to receive appropriate care.
