This medication helps facilitate blood circulation by inhibiting thrombus formation in major cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction, and unstable angina. It also prevents thrombus formation after coronary artery bypass graft surgery or percutaneous coronary intervention, enhancing therapeutic effectiveness. It aids in maintaining heart health by reducing cardiovascular risk in high-risk patients with multiple risk factors such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, and diabetes. It is effectively used for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases due to these benefits.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults: take 1 tablet once a day before meals with sufficient water.

Precautions

This medication may cause gastrointestinal bleeding when taken regularly by individuals who consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day; consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. This medication should not be administered to certain patients. For example, individuals allergic to this drug or similar medications, patients with peptic ulcers, those with aspirin-induced asthma, hemophiliacs, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, severe heart failure, patients with bleeding tendencies, those taking high doses of methotrexate, and pregnant women in the third trimester should not use this medication. Use this drug cautiously in patients with problems related to kidney or liver function, cardiovascular circulation abnormalities, blood disorders, bronchial asthma, those about to undergo surgery, children under three years old, patients with a history of allergies, elderly patients, those taking anticoagulants, and patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency. This medication can trigger hemolytic anemia, hence caution is required. When taking this medication, be alert for severe allergic reactions, asthma attacks, skin rashes, blood abnormalities, gastrointestinal symptoms, neurological symptoms, liver dysfunction, or kidney dysfunction; discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention if any unusual symptoms occur. In children and adolescents, there is a rare risk of developing Reye's syndrome after chickenpox or influenza infections, thus extreme caution should be employed when administering this medication, and the patient's condition should be closely monitored. This medication may interact with other drugs; special attention is needed when taken with anticoagulants, thrombolytics, diabetes medications, methotrexate, lithium, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, digoxin, adrenal corticosteroids, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, valproate, and alcohol and it should be consulted with a doctor or pharmacist. During pregnancy, especially in the third trimester, use should be avoided due to serious health impacts on both the fetus and the mother; it is also advisable to refrain from use while breastfeeding as this medication can be transmitted through breast milk. Elderly patients may experience adverse reactions more easily, thus dosing should start at lower amounts, with careful observation of the patient's condition. This medication should be taken with care to avoid damaging the enteric coating and should not be used with antacids such as sodium bicarbonate or magnesium carbonate. Finally, store this medication out of reach of children, and keep it in its original container; transferring to a different container might increase the risk of misuse or quality degradation.

Hives, severe swelling (angioedema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, dyspnea, asthma attacks, systemic flushing, shock, anaphylaxis, rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, mucosal pain in the mouth/eyes, Reye's syndrome (toxic epidermal necrolysis), Stevens-Johnson syndrome, exfoliative dermatitis, aplastic anemia, anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, impaired platelet function (prolonged bleeding time), liver abnormalities (liver dysfunction, liver transaminase elevation, etc.)

Mild side effects

Allergic reactions (redness, itching, nasal congestion, rash, swelling, symptoms of rhinitis, conjunctivitis), loss of appetite, heartburn, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, tinnitus, ear blockage, dizziness, headache, agitation, hyperventilation, metabolic acidosis

Drug interactions

This medication may increase the risk of bleeding and decrease kidney function when used in combination with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and salicylate preparations. It should not be taken with methotrexate at doses above 15 mg for a week. Additionally, caution should be exercised when taking it with certain nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as anticoagulants, ibuprofen, naproxen, thrombolytics, other platelet aggregation inhibitors, hemostatic agents, and diabetes medications (such as insulin preparations, tolbutamide, etc.)
