Improvement in blood pressure control for essential hypertension
Essential hypertension treated with combination therapy of telmisartan and amlodipine is the treatment method used when blood pressure is not adequately controlled. These medications lower blood pressure, reducing the strain on the heart and blood vessels. Additionally, by maintaining stable blood pressure, they help prevent cardiovascular complications such as stroke or myocardial infarction. This combination therapy is particularly effective when blood pressure control is challenging in patients with essential hypertension. Regular blood pressure monitoring and guidance from a physician are important during treatment, and adopting healthy lifestyle habits is also recommended. This will improve blood pressure control in essential hypertension.
This medication is to be taken once daily by mouth with water, regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). For patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled, administer 40/5/12.5 mg of this medication, adjusting the dosage at intervals of more than 2 weeks based on the patient's blood pressure response. The maximum dosage is 80/10/25 mg.
