Relief of painful muscle spasms associated with musculoskeletal disorders (cervical shoulder syndrome, periarthritis of the shoulder)
This medication is used to relieve painful muscle spasms associated with musculoskeletal disorders. It is particularly effective for conditions such as cervical shoulder syndrome, periarthritis of the shoulder, and low back pain. It reduces muscle tension and pain caused by these disorders, thereby decreasing patient discomfort. Therefore, it is used as a drug to help relieve muscle tension and pain.
This medication is a sustained-release tablet and should be taken whole without crushing, splitting, or chewing. The typical dosage is 1 tablet (75 mg of Eperisone Hydrochloride) orally after meals, twice a day. It should be adjusted appropriately based on age and symptoms.
This medication should not be used in patients with an allergic reaction to it or in patients with myasthenia gravis. Patients with a history of drug hypersensitivity or liver dysfunction should use this medication with caution, as there is a risk of worsening liver function. Rarely, during the use of this medication, severe allergic reactions or serious skin abnormalities may occur, so if symptoms such as rash, itching, hives, swelling, difficulty breathing, fever, blisters, conjunctival injection, or stomatitis appear, the medication should be stopped immediately and medical attention sought. Liver or kidney dysfunction may occur, so if symptoms appear, they should be reported immediately, as blood abnormalities, symptoms of central nervous system disturbances (insomnia, drowsiness, headache, etc.), digestive symptoms (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.), and urinary issues (urinary retention, feeling of incomplete voiding) may arise. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur while taking this medication, so it is advisable to avoid dangerous activities such as driving or operating machinery. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only take this medication if the benefits of treatment are judged to outweigh the risks, and nursing mothers should, if possible, avoid taking this medication and should discontinue nursing in unavoidable cases. Safety in children has not been fully established, so it should be used with caution in children. Elderly patients may have decreased physical function, so precautions should be taken, such as reducing the dosage.

This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to avoid exposure to air or moisture. It is advisable to maintain a storage temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius.
