Cilostazol alone is insufficient for the improvement of ischemic symptoms such as ulcers, pain, and cold sensation due to chronic arterial occlusive disease; therefore, cilostazol can be used in combination with ginkgo biloba extract as an alternative therapy. This combination therapy also helps prevent recurrence after the occurrence of cerebral infarction (excluding cardiogenic cerebral embolism). This treatment method is effective in alleviating symptoms and preventing recurrence of chronic vascular diseases and cerebrovascular diseases.
