Adult dose

Finasteride dosage is 1mg orally once daily, and it may be taken without regard to meals. Generally, treatment effects can be observed after more than 3 months of use, and continuity of use is recommended for maintaining the therapeutic effect.

This medication should not be used in children or women. It is particularly important for pregnant women or women of childbearing potential to avoid even touching broken pieces of this medication. This medication inhibits the production of dihydrotestosterone, the active form of male hormones, and use during pregnancy may carry the risk of causing abnormalities in the reproductive development of male fetuses. Depressive symptoms or mood changes may occur during treatment, so if any psychological symptoms arise, immediate consultation with medical personnel is necessary. Patients with liver function issues should use this medication cautiously and should also be aware if they have allergies to certain pigment components. During the use of this medication, sexual dysfunction such as decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, and ejaculatory disorders may occur, but these symptoms usually resolve upon discontinuation of the medication. Additionally, this medication may increase the risk of developing certain high-risk groups of prostate cancer, so it is important to regularly check prostate health. There is a low likelihood of drug interactions with this medication, but if other medications are being taken, it should be reported to medical personnel. Store this medication out of reach of children and avoid transferring it to other containers. There is no specific antidote for overdose, but if unusual symptoms occur, immediate visit to a medical facility is necessary.

This medication is sensitive to air and moisture; therefore, it should be stored in a sealed container. Additionally, to maintain the medication's effectiveness, it is recommended to store it at a cool temperature between 15 to 30 degrees Celsius.
